The success of others
Here goes, from today, here are the few goals that i am going to set for myself to work towards. Finally, i am getting sick of wasting life away..
- Taking care of my physical and mental health through exercises, games, meditation.
- Develop my financial education and planning
- Explore new ideas everyday.
- Review and reflect
1.) As mundane and boring as these may seem, i believe that the ability to take care of our own health is the most fundamental and basic reflection of our self discipline. Changing anything beyond taking care of our health to begin with is empty talk.
For a start, upon spending a good 15-30 mins thorough and honest self inspection (yes, the mirror is used in this process) here are some of my personal problems that needs attention:
a)eczema on the thighs and left hand
b)acne scarring around the neck area + oily skin on the face, shoulder \
c)hairy and unkempt hairs on my legs and thighs
d)widsom teeth
e)plenty of room for improvement for my physical physique (upper body)
and that shall be all for now. . . my ego needs a break
2)$$$ woes is inescapable too. sadly. living in a 5 room hdb flat with my family of 5 at the age of 20 as of today, i stand tall and proud as a middle class young adult. Nevertheless, the ambition to make it big, yet at the same time confused as to how to do so strikes me with adulthood on its way to my doorstep in less than a years time. But no fear, no worries, here i come and embrace and current plight and at the same time, set some financial goals that would is very necessary.
I recently started reading 'rich dad, poor dad' and came to embrace the importance of financial literacy in our lives. A few interesting points that caught my attention so fat included a point of his stating that' the rich dad views money as a tool to generate and make more money, whereas the poor dad views the very same object as an ends being utilised simply to cover the monthly bills and expenses. ENLIGHTENING huh... 0.0
Nevertheless today shall mark the start of start of my financial education as well as i strive to reach the ultimate goal :financial freedom. Watch out rich people.... here comes the boss
As such, here are some of the steps that i am going to try out on a daily basis as well to monitor this process of mine:
a)read and share points from rich dad, poor dad and see how it could be applied to our context today. After all, the book targeted towards Americans in the early 2000s.
b)understand and discussing the laws and policies of our country.
c)monitor my daily expenses and complain/self praise if there is a need to. If lucky, perhaps develop and share some of the useful tips that i uncover for myself everyday.
3.)This section is pretty much for my own entertainment, ideas could come from the songs that i come across, movies or reality tv shows, books, magazines online discussions. It can come up from pretty much anything that i come into contact with actually. With hopes to remind myself that a midst the pressure from society to 'grow up' we do not lose ourselfves and forget that awesome part of life. ;)
4)Review and reflect? Lets see how it goes..
